Pautang — Privacy Policy

Pautang keeps your data on your device by default. This policy explains what is stored, and what happens only if you choose to turn on cloud backup.
Data stored on your device
Everything you enter — borrowers, loans, payments, capital entries and settings — is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. By default this data never leaves your device, and it is not sent to us or anyone else.
Optional cloud backup
Cloud backup is off unless you turn it on. If you enable it, you create an account identified by your email address (authentication is handled by our backup provider, Supabase), and your ledger data is stored in that backend so you can back it up and restore it on another device. Your sign-in session is kept securely in your device's keychain.
If you never enable backup, no account is created and none of your data is uploaded.
What we don't do
Pautang contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising, and no third-party SDKs beyond the optional backup service. The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, photos, or location. We never sell or share your data.
Deleting your data
Data stored on your device is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. If you enabled cloud backup and want your account and backed-up data deleted, email us and we will remove it.
Third parties
The only third-party service Pautang uses is Supabase, and only when you enable cloud backup. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store; Apple may collect standard download and crash statistics under its own policy.
Children's privacy
Pautang is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data unless you opt into cloud backup.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
